About the role

  • Compliance & Operations Specialist strengthening governance, audits, and regulatory readiness for Aeon Health’s clinician-centred healthcare technology. Coordinating documentation, controls, remediation, and cross-functional initiatives across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve governance documentation, policies, standards, registers, review cycles, and decision records
  • Support compliance and assurance programs including SOC 2, PIPEDA compliance, ISO 9001, and additional frameworks and certifications
  • Coordinate evidence, maintain control documentation, track findings and remediation, and manage owners and timelines
  • Research privacy, security, quality, and regulatory requirements and translate findings into practical work plans and documentation
  • Maintain Aeon’s regulatory readiness roadmap and coordinate internal and external contributors
  • Document security controls, policies, procedures, and governance practices with Engineering and technical stakeholders
  • Map controls to applicable frameworks and maintain audit-ready documentation and evidence
  • Develop SOPs, improve workflows, strengthen knowledge and documentation management, and identify opportunities to use AI
  • Coordinate stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and external specialists to drive initiatives through completion
  • Monitor workstreams for emerging requirements, gaps, or risks and escalate material issues

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in operations, governance, compliance, or a related field
  • Ideally, exposure to a regulated environment
  • Exceptional writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to turn technical, regulatory, legal, and operational information into clear, accurate, practical documentation
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives, manage priorities and dependencies, maintain ownership and timelines, and escalate risks
  • Sound judgment, integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Initiative and resourcefulness in navigating unfamiliar requirements and finding information and expertise
  • Curiosity and learning agility, with ability to understand business and technology and take on increasing complexity
  • Nice-to-have experience with Canadian healthcare technology, digital health, clinical operations, electronic medical record systems, regulated SaaS, healthcare privacy and regulatory requirements, Privacy Impact Assessments, SOC 2, ISO standards, audits, certification readiness, risk management, vendor governance, policy lifecycle management, SaaS, cloud environments, information security, GRC or compliance automation platforms, contract administration, or coordination with legal counsel and specialists
  • Occasional work-related travel may be required
