About the role

  • Supply Chain Coordinator optimizing pharmaceutical production scheduling and bottlenecks at Apotex. Leading LEAN projects and coordinating manufacturing, packaging, laboratory, and logistics priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Supply Chain projects for efficiency gains or LEAN opportunities across cross-functional areas
  • Participate in workshops and transformations for process improvements
  • Support strategic corporate and business objectives
  • Act as a Supply Chain Subject Matter Expert across Manufacturing, Packaging and Quality Control Lab
  • Understand cross-site customer requirements and ensure needs are met
  • Implement escalation processes across Supply Chain and management levels
  • Maintain the rolling 0–12 week production scheduling horizon aligned with ATP dates
  • Minimize Supply Chain disruption while maximizing Production, Packaging and Laboratory efficiencies
  • Resolve bottlenecks, predict potential bottlenecks and develop solutions using analytical techniques
  • Resolve complex issues with internal customers, suppliers and contractors
  • Use capacity analysis to determine scheduling limitations and drive decisions
  • Lead ad-hoc meetings and drive decisions and closure of gaps
  • Coordinate Supply Chain priority decisions across the business
  • Coordinate with Production, QC, Packaging, Procurement and Logistics to deliver customer requirements
  • Review SOPs for adequacy and alignment with cGMP regulations
  • Maintain audit readiness
  • Support S&OE processes and department/site metrics
  • Perform root cause analysis and other assigned duties
  • Work safely and adhere to business ethics, quality, safety, environmental and HR policies

Requirements

  • Community College or University graduate in related discipline preferred
  • Working towards APICS certification is preferred
  • 3 to 4 years of related work experience in Supply Chain/Manufacturing/Laboratory
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications
  • Experience in a process manufacturing or laboratory environment, preferably Pharmaceutical
  • Experience with LIMS/SAP concepts and application, as required
  • Experience with batch documentation issuance and control
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness
  • Ability to work supportively within a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Time management and organization skills
  • Flexibility to changes in work environment
