About the role

  • Family Services Representative selling pre-need funeral plans for Arbor Memorial in Peterborough. Building community relationships, generating leads, and guiding families through arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Work various lead sources and contact and visit client families to assess pre-arrangement needs
  • Communicate the Company's Pre Need Funeral planning program
  • Generate lead sources by following up on referrals, walk-ins, and mail drops
  • Work with at-need families to promote the after-care program
  • Present to community organizations and arrange and host seminars and mall shows
  • Notify agencies and special groups about the pre-need funeral program and review all files
  • Establish and organize programs and seminars at the funeral home with guest speakers and co-sponsors
  • Ensure contracts are accurately completed, required signatures are obtained, copies are forwarded, and files are maintained
  • Participate in funeral home and cemetery staff and management meetings
  • Communicate regularly with funeral home and cemetery staff to exchange information on families served and new lead sources
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and vehicle
  • Passion for customer care demonstrated through previous professional experience
  • Strong discipline for working in a customer-centric service organization
  • Experience in business development, sales, and customer success is an asset
  • Willingness to demonstrate active community involvement
  • Ability to establish a positive community profile for the cemetery and funeral home
  • Highly focused on achieving and exceeding sales results
  • Ability to ensure compliance with all federal and provincial regulatory requirements
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with Cemetery Operations, Funeral, and Home Office Centres of Excellence

  • Willingness to work hard, learn, remain highly motivated, and demonstrate a strong desire to succeed
  • Previous sales experience is not necessary
