About the role
- Wastewater Treatment Operator managing water and wastewater treatment systems at Arcadis. Ensuring compliance with regulations and performing maintenance and inspections.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for operating and maintaining water and wastewater treatment systems
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
- Performing maintenance and inspection activities
- Supporting capital upgrades
- Act as an Operator in Charge (OIC) when required
- Monitor and maintain equipment
- Prepare project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports
- Collaborating with Project Managers to align work
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with 4-5 years or more years of relevant experience with 8 years being preferred
- Class 1 or 2 License in Water Treatment, Wastewater Distribution/Supply, Wastewater Treatment
- A Class G driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- Intermediate knowledge of Water/Wastewater Regulations, Acts, and Standards, as well as relevant vocational qualifications like CTECH, is preferred.
- An environmental technologist certification and possess advanced research, data gathering, and analysis skills, along with advanced proficiency in desktop applications, is preferred.
