About the role
- HashiCorp consultant modernizing client cloud infrastructure with Terraform and Golang. Designing IaC, cloud automation, governance, and platform capabilities for enterprise teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HashiCorp technical consultant supporting client engineering teams
- Design and develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Build reusable Terraform modules and standardized infrastructure patterns
- Develop automation tooling and platform capabilities using Golang
- Support enterprise adoption of Terraform Enterprise / Terraform Cloud, Vault, and Consul
- Partner with cloud engineering teams to automate provisioning across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Integrate Terraform with CI/CD pipelines including GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
- Establish infrastructure governance, policy as code, and best practices
- Perform code reviews and mentor engineers on Terraform development standards
- Troubleshoot infrastructure deployment issues and optimize cloud environments
- Produce technical documentation, architecture guidance, and operational runbooks
- Participate in architecture discussions and provide recommendations on cloud platform improvements
Requirements
- 5+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience
- 3+ years of hands-on Terraform development
- Strong programming experience with Golang
- Experience building reusable Infrastructure as Code frameworks
- Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with Git source control and CI/CD automation
- Strong understanding of infrastructure automation, networking, IAM, cloud security best practices, and Linux administration
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Excellent communication and consulting skills with the ability to work directly with client stakeholders
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (or higher) preferred
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault preferred
- Experience with Consul preferred
- Kubernetes experience preferred
- Docker/container platform experience preferred
- Experience with Sentinel Policy as Code preferred
- Experience with Terratest or automated IaC testing preferred
- Experience building internal developer platforms preferred
- Experience supporting large enterprise cloud transformations preferred
