Responsibilities
Lead IT and technology-enabled business projects from initiation through closure
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resources, and budgets
Develop and maintain integrated project plans and manage competing priorities
Lead discovery and requirements sessions with stakeholders
Document current- and future-state processes, gaps, dependencies, and requirements
Evaluate solution options, including configuration, integration, architecture, build-versus-buy, and cloud versus on-premises approaches
Coordinate business and technology teams through solution design, development or configuration, integration, testing, and implementation
Coordinate test scenarios, user acceptance testing, business acceptance, defect resolution, go-live criteria, operational ownership, and handover
Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, changes, and delivery visibility
Lead project status meetings and escalate issues requiring leadership decisions
Support IT demand intake, prioritization, portfolio planning, project standards, reporting, and governance
Facilitate Steering Committee and project governance meetings and document decisions and accountabilities
Coordinate business readiness, communications, training, and post-implementation stabilization
Establish measures of success, track delivery and business outcomes, and capture lessons learned
Requirements
Experience leading IT or technology-enabled business projects through planning, implementation, and closure
Ability to build project plans and manage scope, budgets, risks, dependencies, and competing priorities
Ability to understand business problems, processes, and desired outcomes and translate them into clear requirements
Ability to document current- and future-state processes, gaps, dependencies, requirements documentation, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Understanding of enterprise technology environments, systems, integrations, solution design, configuration or development, testing, implementation, and operational handover
Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery approaches
Experience with project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar
PMP certification preferred
Additional project, Agile, or IT service management certifications are an asset
Ability to build trusted relationships and influence without direct authority
Ability to facilitate discovery sessions, navigate competing priorities, challenge assumptions, and facilitate decisions
Clear, concise communication for different audiences, including senior leaders
Organized, proactive, and comfortable working through ambiguity
