Service Technician repairing and upgrading automated pedestrian doors for ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems in Abbotsford. Diagnosing electro-mechanical and electrical issues while supporting customer safety and service reliability.
Responsibilities
Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations
Diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic
Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring
Communicate professionally with customers, end-users, and contractors
Provide exceptional customer service
Participate in training programs
Maintain AAADM certification
Operate power tools and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing ladders, and kneeling
Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training
Requirements
Mechanical aptitude with experience repairing electro-mechanical devices
Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage 120V wiring
Access control systems knowledge is a plus
Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware preferred
Valid driver’s license and good driving record
High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., bend, kneel, climb ladders, and use power tools effectively
Must be at least 21 years old
Must successfully obtain AAADM certification within one year of employment and maintain certification as required
