About the role
- Service Technician repairing and upgrading automated pedestrian doors for ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems in Abbotsford. Diagnosing electro-mechanical and electrical issues while supporting customer safety and service reliability.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic
- Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring
- Communicate professionally with customers, end-users, and contractors
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Participate in training programs
- Maintain AAADM certification
- Operate power tools and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing ladders, and kneeling
- Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude with experience repairing electro-mechanical devices
- Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage 120V wiring
- Access control systems knowledge is a plus
- Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware preferred
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., bend, kneel, climb ladders, and use power tools effectively
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must successfully obtain AAADM certification within one year of employment and maintain certification as required
