About the role

  • Service Technician repairing and upgrading automated pedestrian doors for ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems in Abbotsford. Diagnosing electro-mechanical and electrical issues while supporting customer safety and service reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic
  • Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring
  • Communicate professionally with customers, end-users, and contractors
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Participate in training programs
  • Maintain AAADM certification
  • Operate power tools and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing ladders, and kneeling
  • Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude with experience repairing electro-mechanical devices
  • Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage 120V wiring
  • Access control systems knowledge is a plus
  • Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., bend, kneel, climb ladders, and use power tools effectively
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must successfully obtain AAADM certification within one year of employment and maintain certification as required
