About the role

  • Financial planning and analysis director supporting AtkinsRéalis’ Canadian Nuclear sector. Leading budgets, forecasts, reporting, audits, and performance analysis across business units.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality financial support to the overall Nuclear sector
  • Lead the Financial Planning and Analysis reporting process for the sector
  • Coordinate consolidated sector-wide actuals against budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly closing processes across the sector
  • Develop processes, tools, and reports for planning, forecasting, and performance monitoring
  • Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and yearly sector performance
  • Review and analyze the Nuclear central team and sector long-range plan and budget
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
  • Participate in financial information reporting tasks
  • Create and implement policies and procedures
  • Maintain up-to-date sector Levels of Authority
  • Establish working relationships with Nuclear sector and corporate finance stakeholders
  • Manage Actuals, Budget, Forecast, Long-Range Plan, and accounting for the Nuclear central team (PMO)
  • Create operational plans, rolling forecasts, and latest estimates
  • Lead and coordinate external audits and IFCR processes
  • Lead or participate in Finance strategy initiatives affecting the Nuclear sector
  • Provide occasional travel as required

Requirements

  • Professional accounting designation
  • Minimum of 7 years of finance or accounting experience
  • Understanding of accounting processes and IFRS policies
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and balance priorities
  • Team player with strong leadership skills and ability to influence
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively multitask
  • Ability to communicate and work with other members of the organization
  • Strong consulting and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to accommodate work demands
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
  • Occasional travel
