About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design fire protection and fire alarm systems
  • Contribute to the preparation of specifications and technical reports
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary activities with project stakeholders
  • Assess project costs, including costs associated with the facilities’ life cycle
  • Survey existing installations and prepare drawings or models of them
  • Conduct installation inspections and participate in construction site supervision
  • Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure project quality and compliance
  • Collaborate with specialized engineers on fire protection engineering projects across Quebec

Requirements

  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Building Mechanics
  • Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in fire protection, particularly fire alarm systems
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and NFPA standards
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HydraCAD
  • Ability to conduct technical surveys, inspections, and construction site supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in French
  • English is an asset
