About the role
- Junior Cost Controller managing budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting for AtkinsRéalis engineering and infrastructure projects. Supporting EcoSys controls, invoicing, and change-order analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain project controls systems, procedures, and standards for cost management
- Coordinate implementation of the EcoSys cost control tool, including user training and ongoing support
- Track, analyze, and report project expenditures against budgets and forecasts
- Prepare monthly cost reports, variance analyses, and dashboards
- Maintain records of project budgets, actual costs, forecasts, accruals, and cash flow projections
- Collaborate with project managers, discipline leads, and procurement teams to update forecasts, evaluate change orders, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Support contract management and invoicing by reviewing invoices, monitoring accruals, and providing cost-related insights
- Participate in project meetings, provide project controls updates, and ensure compliance with internal project controls standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in cost control, preferably in major EPCM projects
- Strong understanding of project controls, cost allocation, and financial risk management
- Proficiency in project controls software, specifically EcoSys
- Knowledge of Excel, Aconex Cost, Primavera P6, and Power BI
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment
