About the role
- Junior Geological Engineer supporting field investigations, geological mapping, and geotechnical analyses. Contributing to infrastructure projects at AtkinsRéalis, a global engineering services organization.
Responsibilities
- Support senior technical staff in planning and executing field investigations
- Conduct geological mapping and terrain assessments
- Support geotechnical analyses and engineering studies for infrastructure projects
- Apply knowledge of engineering geology, geotechnical engineering, rock mechanics, and geohazard assessments
- Work with multidisciplinary teams
- Produce technical writing and project documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering, Geological Sciences, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university
- Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.), or eligible for registration with the applicable provincial engineering association, with commitment toward achieving professional licensure (P.Eng.)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant post-graduate experience in geological engineering, geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, mining, tunneling, rock mechanics, geohazards, or related consulting and infrastructure sectors
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to health, safety, environmental stewardship, and quality management practices
- Willingness to travel on short assignments within Ontario and nationwide
- Valid driver’s license
