About the role
- Municipal Engineer designing and leading civil and utility infrastructure projects across western Canada for AtkinsRéalis. Managing multidisciplinary delivery, QA/QC, budgets, timelines, and client stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed civil and utilities engineering designs, drawings, and analyses for civil infrastructure
- Prepare calculations, plans, profiles, cross-sections, and presentations for contract packages
- Manage design package delivery, ensuring QA/QC compliance and adherence to project budgets and timelines
- Complete civil and utilities designs with engineers, engineering interns, and CAD technicians
- Plan, execute, and manage civil, property, utilities, and drainage design packages
- Present designs and proposals to clients, authorities, and management
- Address stakeholder needs and concerns to support seamless project execution and client satisfaction
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
- Licensed BC Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on civil municipal & utility design
- Ability to lead complex civil engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Experience representing the civil design team in project meetings, workshops, and presentations
- Proven track record managing civil design components of large-scale infrastructure projects from conception through completion
- Strong understanding of municipal design and construction standards and guidelines in BC, construction specifications and regulations
- Familiarity with municipal and provincial clients and approving agencies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Project
