About the role

  • Municipal Engineer designing and leading civil and utility infrastructure projects across western Canada for AtkinsRéalis. Managing multidisciplinary delivery, QA/QC, budgets, timelines, and client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed civil and utilities engineering designs, drawings, and analyses for civil infrastructure
  • Prepare calculations, plans, profiles, cross-sections, and presentations for contract packages
  • Manage design package delivery, ensuring QA/QC compliance and adherence to project budgets and timelines
  • Complete civil and utilities designs with engineers, engineering interns, and CAD technicians
  • Plan, execute, and manage civil, property, utilities, and drainage design packages
  • Present designs and proposals to clients, authorities, and management
  • Address stakeholder needs and concerns to support seamless project execution and client satisfaction

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
  • Licensed BC Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on civil municipal & utility design
  • Ability to lead complex civil engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Experience representing the civil design team in project meetings, workshops, and presentations
  • Proven track record managing civil design components of large-scale infrastructure projects from conception through completion
  • Strong understanding of municipal design and construction standards and guidelines in BC, construction specifications and regulations
  • Familiarity with municipal and provincial clients and approving agencies
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Project
