Project Technical Manager leading process engineering for AtkinsRéalis’ CANDU MONARK nuclear power project.
Managing multidisciplinary teams, design interfaces, compliance, and technical delivery across Ontario offices and project sites.
Responsibilities
Lead process engineering scopes from basic engineering to detailed design
Manage and develop a team of process engineering professionals
Plan and execute work to meet quality, cost, schedule, and technical requirements
Coordinate and oversee process engineering activities for nuclear power plant design
Coordinate the design interface between the Nuclear Steam Plant (NSP) and Balance of Plant (BOP) portions of a nuclear power plant
Provide technical guidance to staff
Ensure compliance with engineering, quality assurance, contractual, and regulatory requirements
Support resource forecasting, issue resolution, and risk mitigation to maintain safety, quality, and delivery
Interface with all stakeholders as a member of the Engineering Management Team on the CANDU MONARK Project
Report functionally to the Technical Director, Process and Equipment Engineering
Travel to and potentially work at project construction sites, pre-assembly/module fabrication yards, and equipment/component suppliers as needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering or Engineering Science from an accredited university
At least 10 years of engineering experience
Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, or eligible within six months of hire
5+ years of engineering experience on refurbishment and/or new build projects, including large-scale EPC environments
Proven regulatory interface experience with CNSC, including registrations, code classifications, and compliance documentation
Strong process system design engineering expertise
Working knowledge of nuclear Codes and Standards, including CSA N285.0 and ASME Section III
Proven performance in a multidiscipline, dynamic project delivery environment
Excellent organization and time management skills
Willingness to travel to and potentially work at project sites, fabrication yards, and suppliers
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
