About the role

Engineering Student assisting in various engineering projects related to nuclear technology. Provides support under supervision and gains experience in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers and discipline leads with day-to-day tasks
Contribute to conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases for CANDU and other nuclear electrical systems under the supervision of a P.Eng.
Support the development of electrical engineering deliverables for nuclear and conventional systems
Interface with multidisciplinary teams and project sectors to coordinate assigned tasks
Attend technical and coordination meetings as needed
Contribute to a collaborative, open-minded, and positive team environment

Solid foundation in engineering, physics, and mathematics
Basic knowledge of analytical and design tools such as MATLAB, ETAP, and MathCAD
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Prior experience in the nuclear industry is considered an asset
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing
Ability to obtain Security Clearance is mandatory
Currently enrolled in Electrical engineering/Engineering Science/Math Program with an accredited Canadian University
