About the role
- Senior backend developer building Forma Admin access controls and core APIs. Designing scalable cloud systems for Autodesk’s software products.
Responsibilities
- Research, conceive, design, build, and test software features and system components
- Proactively discover, diagnose, and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other system errors
- Collaborate with domestic and international ACS teams
- Produce clear technical and design documentation for new features
- Participate actively in code reviews and pull requests
- Have own code reviewed by the team and continuously improve as a developer
- Reimagine user access controls for Forma Admin
- Contribute to tier 1 core APIs and critical ACS data sets
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; or significant equivalent experience
- 5+ years of backend and distributed systems engineering experience
- 3+ years developing backend solutions using Node.js or a desire to learn
- Expertise with SQL/Postgres DB
- Ability to design scalable, available, resilient and cost-effective cloud applications, preferably AWS
- Ability to select the appropriate technology stack and tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to converse fluently with managers, customers, and software developers
- Ability to convert complex software problems into technical tasks
- Ability to work well in a remote-friendly distributed team
- Flexibility under changing conditions and ability to multitask between projects
