About the role
- Derivatives Attorney drafting, reviewing, and negotiating MSFTA agreements for Axiom’s alternative legal services platform. Supporting financial services, derivatives, and capital markets clients across Canada.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate MSFTA agreements
- Provide legal support to the derivatives team on MSFTA-related matters
- Review agreements and identify relevant legal and contractual issues
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders throughout the negotiation process
- Support derivatives and capital markets-related legal matters as needed
Requirements
- Canadian-qualified attorney licensed to practice law in an applicable Canadian jurisdiction
- Direct experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating MSFTA agreements
- Experience within financial services, derivatives, or capital markets
- Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication, technology, and problem-solving skills
- Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check
- Proof of identity and necessary legal authorization to work required
