About the role
- Senior Structural Engineer specializing in hydropower projects, joining a multidisciplinary team in Calgary or Saskatoon. Responsible for structural engineering expertise for dams and flood control structures.
Responsibilities
- Support the Engineering and Design structural group as part of multidisciplinary project teams
- Provide structural engineering and related technical expertise primarily for dam structures, hydropower facilities, and flood control structures
- Lead the planning, coordinating, and executing of projects
- Develop and maintain client relationships with dam, hydropower, and flood control clients
- Perform site inspections and minor construction observations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in structural engineering or civil engineering with a structural emphasis
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng) certification and a PE certification or ability to obtain within one year
- Ability to travel to and work in the U.S.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit and structural engineering analysis software such as RISA 3D, STAAD Pro, or MathCAD
- Possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Knowledge of Canadian Dam Association (CDA) dam safety guidelines and associated technical bulletins
