Casino technician maintaining and repairing gaming equipment for British Columbia Lottery Corporation. Supporting player experience, incident resolution, and casino operations in Penticton and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
Maintain casino gaming equipment in casino facilities
Complete projects to enhance player experience
Perform repairs and maintenance to ensure the integrity of BCLC gaming equipment
Resolve incidents contributing to sensitive player complaints with diplomacy and tact
Complete assigned duties to support a high-performing casino environment
Provide customer service and investigate incidents related to player complaints
Execute project plans and move machines within the casino environment
Collaborate on team projects and with internal and external stakeholders
Keep gaming equipment in good working condition and operational
Stay current with evolving technology across gaming equipment
Assign work to others in larger facilities and operate independently in smaller locations
Report to a Manager of Business Operations
Travel occasionally to a secondary location within the region
Requirements
Recognized technical degree or diploma in electronics or technology support
3 to 4 years previous technical (hardware) experience or a related background is preferred
An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered
Previous customer service experience is preferred
Ability to comprehend and apply internal control concepts, verifications and procedural review requirements
Ability to compile and analyse information and make informed decisions
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive matters with integrity, diplomacy, tact and confidentiality
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical thinking/innovation
Strong computer skills – MS Office Suite
Ability to work flexible hours and shift work
Ability to work at multiple locations within a set region
Ability to lift 25kg
