About the role
- Financial Analyst supporting FP&A reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and business insights for Best Buy Canada, a major technology retailer. Based in greater Vancouver under a remote-first model with in-person collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Provide stakeholders with timely, relevant, and accurate financial and operational reporting
- Work closely with Finance and Data & Technology teams
- Provide financial and operational analyses and business intelligence to stakeholders
- Identify variances and trends and deliver clear, actionable insights
- Gather inputs from business stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and align on financial outlooks
- Support monthly forecasting, semi-annual business cases, annual budgeting, and long-range planning
- Support ad-hoc analyses and projects for overall Finance team objectives
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, financial planning, or financial analysis
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to transform complex data into actionable insights
- Ability to navigate large and complex data sets and extract meaningful information
- Ability to create clear financial reports and presentations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including VBA
- Hands-on experience with Power BI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex information for non-finance audiences
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
