About the role
- IAM Analyst II managing identity systems, access governance, and security operations for Best Buy’s technology retail business. Improving automation, compliance, and access controls in Vancouver’s remote-first model.
Responsibilities
- Manage IAM operations, complex access requests, and identity lifecycle activities while meeting service targets
- Support provisioning, authentication, and authorization issues
- Serve as an escalation point for IAM incidents
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Support incident and problem management
- Conduct access reviews, audits, remediation activities, and compliance monitoring
- Improve IAM service delivery through automation, scripting, standardization, reporting, and enhancements to IAM tools and controls
- Participate in IAM projects, system implementations, integrations, and change initiatives
- Support testing, defect management, and operational readiness activities
- Maintain IAM documentation and operational standards
- Collaborate with business and technical teams
- Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior IAM analysts
Requirements
- 3+ years of IAM or related enterprise experience
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, or Oracle Unified Directory
- Experience supporting IAM projects, system enhancements, access governance, and identity lifecycle processes
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience developing technical documentation and operational procedures
