Responsibilities
- Mentor and guide developers through continuous feedback to improve technical and leadership skills
- Oversee recruitment and onboarding for the product family
- Build an inclusive, high-performance, and rewarding culture
- Contribute to the design and development of complex applications and maintain or modify existing applications
- Partner with leadership roles within the product family to connect people to the company purpose and align goals
- Deliver high-quality products on time and within budget while adhering to software delivery guidelines and standards
- Collaborate with product managers to build and refine team product roadmaps
- Ensure services are scalable and resilient for peak sales periods and growing production needs
- Support after-hours operational incidents when necessary
Requirements
- 3+ years leading a technical team, including mentorship, coaching, hiring, onboarding, and general team leadership
- Experience building high-quality products in an Agile development environment
- Hands-on backend development experience with a Java / Spring Boot microservices stack
- Solid understanding of development practices and adherence to code standards
- Experience with source control management
- Experience with test-driven development
- Experience contributing to code reviews
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of modern AI development tools, including AI-assisted coding, testing, and automation
- Experience enabling teams to incorporate AI technologies into development workflows
- Willingness and ability to support after-hours operational incidents when necessary
