About the role
- Senior Software Engineer building Fleetworthy’s next-generation fleet compliance platform. Developing Vue.js and .NET solutions for safety and regulatory operations.
Responsibilities
- Build and deliver Fleetworthy’s next-generation compliance platform
- Write production-ready, well-tested, self-documenting code
- Debug systematically using monitoring and observability data to improve stability and performance
- Architect, write, and review reusable, testable, efficient code following Clean Code and SOLID principles
- Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, performant full-stack applications
- Contribute to Vue/Vuex front-end and .NET back-end development
- Own SQL query performance and contribute to database design decisions
- Apply microservice and micro front-end architecture best practices
- Identify and pragmatically reduce technical debt
- Share DevOps responsibilities and champion observability tooling and practices
- Break work into prioritized pieces, manage risk and ambiguity, and communicate blockers or cost overruns
- Refine requirements and participate in Scrum/Kanban ceremonies
- Partner with Product Managers and engineers to scope and sequence work
- Surface engineering constraints, risks, and opportunities
- Advocate for platform health, developer experience, and quality
- Collaborate across time zones, mentor teammates, and foster knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Several years of professional full-stack software engineering experience, with a clear philosophy on how to improve a codebase over time
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort in documentation, structured async workflows, technical writing, and remote-first practices
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of work, deliver in fast-paced and ambiguous environments without loss of quality, and mentor peers
- Experience partnering with product management to deliver business outcomes
- Experience working across multiple time zones in a remote or hybrid environment
- Front-end experience with Vue.js 2 or 3, Vuetify, Vuex, Webpack, Jest, and/or Vitest
- Back-end experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core, .NET 7–8, C#, and REST API design and implementation
- Data experience with MSSQL, SQL Profiler, and query tuning
- Testing experience with nUnit, Moq, and AutoFixture
- Azure DevOps CI/CD required
- Experience with Azure, Windows IIS, Linux Nginx, microservices, micro front-end architecture, Clean Code, and SOLID principles
