About the role
- Freelance Portuguese teacher delivering personalised online lessons for Busuu, a global language-learning EdTech platform. Teaching corporate clients through language coaching, needs analysis, and bespoke learning paths.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and teach 45-minute online Portuguese lessons for corporate clients
- Deliver 1:1 private lessons combining language teaching and personalised coaching
- Conduct needs analyses and assess students’ language levels
- Create bespoke learning paths
- Check student progress during lesson time
- Set clear learning goals
- Teach presentation skills, negotiations, business email etiquette, meeting management, and multicultural communication
Requirements
- C2 level of Portuguese
- Valid teaching certificate such as TEFL/CELTA or related university degrees
- Experience in online teaching and providing 1:1 coaching or personalised learning support
- B1 or above in English
- Comfortable teaching presentation skills, negotiations, business email etiquette, meeting management, and multicultural communication
- Excellent communication skills to engage and teach students
- High-speed internet
- Modern laptop or PC with a microphone and camera
- Must comply with local freelance/contractor regulations
