About the role
- Data Engineer building ETL pipelines and analytics infrastructure for CAE’s simulation and training solutions. Supporting data quality, modelling, dashboards, and reporting across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ETL processes using Microsoft SSIS and/or Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines
- Design and optimize workflows to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability for business analysts and reporting teams
- Collaborate with analysts to deliver modelled data, dashboards, and reports
- Troubleshoot and support existing data pipelines and integrations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (preferably with a focus on Data Science and Analytics) or equivalent experience
- Strong experience with SQL, including writing and optimizing complex queries
- Understanding of ETL concepts and data pipeline design
- Ability to work collaboratively with analytics and business teams
- Completed Data Science coursework or certification
- Minimum 2-3 years of data engineering experience
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods Clearance and Level II NATO Secret security clearance
- Legal authorization to work in Canada as a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or holder of a valid Work Permit
