About the role

  • Chief Information Officer responsible for technology leadership and innovation strategy in blockchain finance company. Overseeing IT operations and compliance within crypto and blockchain ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company’s IT and blockchain strategy to align with business goals.
  • Drive the adoption of cutting-edge blockchain, DeFi, and Web3 technologies.
  • Ensure scalability, security, and compliance of all digital assets and blockchain solutions.
  • Oversee the development and integration of smart contracts, DeFi applications, and tokenized financial products.
  • Lead the design and maintenance of secure and efficient blockchain architecture.
  • Manage the development of crypto wallets, payment gateways, and digital asset management solutions.
  • Ensure the security and efficiency of crypto transactions, exchanges, and staking platforms.
  • Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect crypto assets and user data.
  • Stay ahead of hacks, fraud, and security vulnerabilities within blockchain networks.
  • Develop and enforce IT governance policies to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure all IT operations align with Shariah-compliant finance principles (if applicable).
  • Work closely with legal teams to comply with global crypto regulations (e.g., GDPR, FATF, SEC).
  • Oversee AML/KYC processes for crypto transactions and exchanges.
  • Lead and mentor the IT & blockchain development team.
  • Collaborate with finance, marketing, and product teams to drive digital transformation.
  • Engage with investors, partners, and regulators on blockchain innovation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in IT leadership roles, preferably in crypto, blockchain, or fintech
  • Strong understanding of blockchain protocols, DeFi, NFTs, and Layer 1/Layer 2 solutions
  • Expertise in smart contracts (Solidity, Rust), Web3 frameworks, and crypto wallets
  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles, cloud computing, and distributed ledgers
  • Experience with ISO 27001, GDPR, AML/KYC, and global crypto regulations
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Level of studies: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • Language Requirements: Fluent in English
