About the role

Senior Software Applications Engineer developing subscription commerce systems for Calix’s cloud-first broadband platform. Building configurators, order processing, billing, entitlements, and customer subscription workflows.

Responsibilities

Develop effective solutions that fulfill stakeholder requirements
Develop application features and functionality independently and collaboratively with team members
Implement new and maintain existing subscription product configurators
Build solutions for subscription order processing, revenue booking, invoicing one-time and recurring products, automated subscription turn-up, customer entitlement management, and subscription amendments
Keep subscription management systems current with the latest products, pricing structures, and configurations
Support Sales, Order Management, and Customer Operations teams

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Strong web development skills, including ReactJS and NodeJS
Strong grasp of good user experience design
Ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and solutions to broad audiences
Ability to intuit users' needs and expectations
Demonstrated problem-solving and logic skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong spoken and written English skills required
Preferred experience with product configuration technologies such as Oracle CPQ Cloud, Salesforce CPQ, or Conga CPQ
Preferred experience with subscription management systems such as Salesforce Billing, Zuora, or Stripe
Preferred experience with order management systems such as Oracle ERP or SAP ERP
Preferred experience with E-Commerce, customer self-service, Salesforce.com, AWS, GraphQL, Apollo, Relay, Recoil, MobX, Redux, Storybook, GitHub Actions, Bugsnag, DocuSign integration, Mocha, Cypress, SQL, XML, or Linux
