About the role

  • Associate Manager executing POP advertising and promotional programs for Canadian Tire Petroleum’s retail network. Managing signage, vendors, budgets, and the Petro-Canada rebrand across approximately 274 locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of marketing services programs across Canadian Tire Petroleum, including Gas+ and Petro-Canada branded locations
  • Manage development, production, deployment, and execution of point-of-purchase materials, promotional signage, planograms, and advertising programs across approximately 274 retail locations
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, Regional Business Managers, retailers, finance teams, creative agencies, and external vendors
  • Own the monthly planogram process and provide retailers direction on signage installation, removal, and maintenance
  • Manage signage inventory and vendor relationships, coordinating production and distribution
  • Support the Petro-Canada rebrand, loyalty programs, fuel, convenience, and car wash marketing programs
  • Oversee highway signage, receipt roll inventory and distribution, and environmental programs
  • Manage advertising and marketing budgets, including forecasting, accruals, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis for approximately $5M in annual spend
  • Ensure marketing materials and programs meet brand standards, regulatory requirements, and operational guidelines
  • Travel locally within the GTA for site visits, retailer engagement, and vendor meetings

Requirements

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, retail marketing, or a related field
  • University degree or college diploma in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline
  • Customer-centric mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proven project management experience and ability to meet competing deadlines
  • Experience managing POP, signage, promotional materials, or in-store marketing execution programs
  • Strong vendor management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including budget management, forecasting, expense tracking, and reporting
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience supporting multi-location retail, fuel, convenience, or franchise-based operations
  • Experience managing large-scale branding, rebranding, or retail transformation initiatives
  • Familiarity with loyalty program marketing and promotional campaign execution
  • Experience with marketing automation tools or AI-enabled platforms such as Microsoft Copilot
  • Valid driver's licence and ability to travel locally as needed
  • Experience working with creative, print production, or signage vendors
  • Previous experience supporting budget ownership in a large corporate environment
