About the role

Part-time shift leader supervising daily operations at Canna Cabana, a Canadian cannabis retailer. Guiding staff, serving customers, achieving store KPIs, and managing on-shift inventory.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance to store management in supervising and facilitating the daily operations of the store
Oversee the responsibilities of the Store Manager in the absence of SM or ASM
Assist in delivery of key personnel management when on shift and resolve customer service issues
Provide direction, guidance, and instruction to store associates
Ensure store conditions are consistently upheld to established standards
Assist in ensuring staffing levels adequately meet business needs when requested
Act as the sales and customer service leader/role model in the absence of SM/ASM
Greet and assist customers while modeling exemplary conduct
Ensure company policies and relevant legislation are adhered to by all staff
Handle and escalate customer complaints as appropriate
Ensure health, safety, and security regulations and standards are met on shift
Achieve sales targets and store-level KPIs
Ensure employees on shift pursue sales goals
Oversee and assist with inventory management and be accountable for inventory processes on shift

Valid CannSell certification required to work in a retail cannabis store
Must have or be able to successfully complete a Police Background Check
Demonstrated sales and service orientation
Minimum 2 years of retail industry work experience required; cannabis industry preferred
Valid First Aid certification considered an asset
Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
Ability to train and motivate staff
Ability to monitor and lead by example
Basic office administration skills
High proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
Effective teamwork skills
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with individuals at all organizational levels
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
