Clinical Service Leader supervising Audiologists and maintaining a partial clinical caseload. Delivering and developing quality Audiology services within Winnipeg’s regional healthcare network.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily clinical service delivery and environmental/operational issues in a designated complex service area
Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, supervision, education, evaluation, and research guidance to Audiologists
Examine, develop, refine, and evaluate Audiology knowledge and clinical practices
Assist with program planning and development
Assist with performance conversations and recruitment
Coordinate clinical work schedules, caseloads, and service rotations
Maintain a partial clinical caseload including Audiology assessment, diagnosis, intervention, program planning, discharge planning, and follow-up
Work under the general direction of the Manager Health Services or designate
Requirements
Minimum of five years recent, relevant Audiology experience in a large complex environment
Previous supervisory experience
Master’s degree in Audiology from an accredited, recognized university
Completion of and ongoing participation in relevant courses and workshops to meet continuing education requirements
Supervision in Audiology and specialization required for the designated clinical area
Training in Microsoft Office
Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM)
Membership in professional organizations such as Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) and the Canadian Audiology Association (CAA)
CPR training in accordance with employer policy
Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities
Ability to initiate and support change
Knowledge of Audiology regulations and scope-of-practice documents
Ability to critically evaluate and apply relevant knowledge to practice

Effective written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, team-building, and role-modelling skills
Ability to work cooperatively with other disciplines and demonstrate professional judgment and initiative

Ability to work evenings or weekends and occasionally extended hours, if required
Current satisfactory Criminal Records Check including Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment
Ability to attend meetings on-site, off-site, or virtually
