About the role

Registered Dietitian Diabetes Educator providing nutritional care and diabetes management at St. Boniface Hospital. Collaborating within a clinical team to promote healthy outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the provision and promotion of optimal nutritional care and diabetes management care to clients according to professional Standards of Practice.

Two years clinical nutrition experience required.
Previous experience in diabetes education preferred.
Experience with an electronic medical record (EMR) preferred.
Bachelor of Science degree, Human Nutritional Sciences, dietetic or related area from an accredited Canadian university program or the approved equivalent if internationally educated required.
Graduate of a recognized dietetic internship program or practical training program, which has been accredited by the applicable certifying body.
Canadian Diabetes Educator certificate required.
Active certification as a trainer for insulin pumps available in Canada required within two (2) years of start of position.
Must be a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand French may be preferred in certain positions.
