About the role
- Swine Sales Advisor growing Cargill’s animal nutrition and agricultural solutions business. Developing market opportunities, partnerships, revenue plans, and client relationships across Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Foster and grow business development activities for products, services and solutions through face-to-face and virtual meetings
- Prioritize activities to develop market segments and set revenue targets
- Identify new business opportunities and commercial partnerships
- Create business development strategies and annual plans to achieve business objectives and revenue
- Work closely with account managers to understand business requirements and market needs
- Identify new market segments and business development opportunities, calculating returns and investment
- Obtain agreement to execute investments, resources and actions required for business development
- Serve as a subject-matter expert with limited direction
- Use research and interpretation to identify issues and problems
- Provide direction to lower-level team members and contribute to key initiatives
- Travel to cover the area of responsibility
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Diploma/certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of six years of related work experience
- Swine and technical industry experience
- Ability to travel for business up to 25%
- Possess a valid, full Canadian Driver’s Licence in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Sales experience preferred
- Strong sales communications skills preferred
