About the role

  • Digital Editor adapting Radio-Canada radio, podcast, and audiobook content for digital platforms. Writing copy, updating websites, and producing multimedia assets for Canadian audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Write engaging headlines, short-form copy, articles, and promotional copy
  • Adapt audio content from radio shows, podcasts, and audiobooks for digital platforms
  • Maintain and update Radio-Canada website content in line with corporate standards and policies
  • Expand the reach and visibility of audio content across the digital ecosystem
  • Produce short articles, audio summaries, video clips, and original digital assets
  • Keep up with relevant news stories and information
  • Attend story meetings, pitch ideas and concepts, and provide editorial input
  • Research, gather, curate, and verify information from various sources
  • Review and select audio, video, and visual elements
  • Format media for optimal digital delivery, source stock imagery, and take still photos as needed
  • Develop and write copy for interactive content such as games and quizzes, and publish it online
  • Proofread and edit personal copy and assist colleagues as needed
  • Organize, moderate, and participate in interactive digital events
  • Respond to audience inquiries and forward program-related questions to appropriate team members
  • Carry out other related tasks as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Two (2) years’ relevant experience
  • French fluency in the working language
  • French advanced reading, speaking, and writing skills
  • Strong proficiency in English is an asset
  • Broad general knowledge
  • Good knowledge of current events
  • Expertise in platform-specific storytelling
  • Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure
  • Team-player approach
  • Availability for rotating assignments and non-standard work hours
  • Ability to work morning, daytime, evening, and weekend shifts
  • Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing
  • Mandatory criminal record check and other background checks based on operational requirements
