Security Operations Analyst supporting firewall operations and enterprise network security at CDW, a Fortune 500 technology solutions provider. Monitoring incidents, resolving client requests, and maintaining SLA performance.
Responsibilities
Provide first-level technical client support for Network Security
Monitor and resolve first-level security support requests and escalate second-level support to senior team members
Collect and disseminate information to clients during and after incidents
Identify, record, and escalate service performance trends, anomalies, and SLA breaches to senior leadership
Update knowledge base articles
Apply Trusted Advisor techniques to build client trust and influence loyalty
Attend training sessions or shadowing activities
Obtain industry-related certifications as determined by the Manager
Participate in assigned self-paced training
Work within a 7-day-per-week, 24-hour-per-day managed services operation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or 3-year diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or a Technology related field, OR 4 years of Information Technology experience, including 1 year supporting information technology/systems
Beginner-level certification in a Managed Security Services discipline is a plus, including Check Point CCSA, Cisco CCNA-Security, Palo Alto ACE, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-200, Microsoft AZ-900, Microsoft AZ-500, or similar technology certifications
Call handling/ticket experience is a plus
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
Understanding of IT infrastructure and Information Systems design, including enterprise hardware, software, and services
Ability to investigate and resolve technical issues using established procedures
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Time management and organizational skills
Proficiency with productivity tools such as word processing, spreadsheets, diagram creation, presentations, and email applications
Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and products
1 to 3 years of experience in firewall administration, including Palo Alto and Check Point technologies
