About the role

  • Security Operations Analyst supporting firewall operations and enterprise network security at CDW, a Fortune 500 technology solutions provider. Monitoring incidents, resolving client requests, and maintaining SLA performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical client support for Network Security
  • Monitor and resolve first-level security support requests and escalate second-level support to senior team members
  • Collect and disseminate information to clients during and after incidents
  • Identify, record, and escalate service performance trends, anomalies, and SLA breaches to senior leadership
  • Update knowledge base articles
  • Apply Trusted Advisor techniques to build client trust and influence loyalty
  • Attend training sessions or shadowing activities
  • Obtain industry-related certifications as determined by the Manager
  • Participate in assigned self-paced training
  • Work within a 7-day-per-week, 24-hour-per-day managed services operation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or 3-year diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or a Technology related field, OR 4 years of Information Technology experience, including 1 year supporting information technology/systems
  • Beginner-level certification in a Managed Security Services discipline is a plus, including Check Point CCSA, Cisco CCNA-Security, Palo Alto ACE, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-200, Microsoft AZ-900, Microsoft AZ-500, or similar technology certifications
  • Call handling/ticket experience is a plus
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and Information Systems design, including enterprise hardware, software, and services
  • Ability to investigate and resolve technical issues using established procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with productivity tools such as word processing, spreadsheets, diagram creation, presentations, and email applications
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and products
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in firewall administration, including Palo Alto and Check Point technologies
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
  • Experience managing firewall policies, IPS configurations, NAT rules, and firewall-related projects
