About the role

  • Senior Health, Safety and Environment Advisor overseeing safety and compliance in commercial construction projects across Alberta. Mentoring teams and contributing to emergency response planning and incident management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HSE leadership, support, and recommendations to personnel
  • Participate in prequalification processes for subcontractors
  • Advise on HSE program and legislation
  • Oversee Project HSE Plan and Emergency Response Plan implementation
  • Conduct formal inspections and Critical Control Assessments
  • Mentor project personnel in HSE compliance and procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of field HSE experience in commercial (preferred) and/or industrial construction
  • Minimum NCSO designation (or equivalent) required
  • Completion of additional professional designations (e.g., CRSP, CSP, ASP) required
  • Standard First Aid required; Advanced First Aid or Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Valid driver’s license required
