About the role
- Data Migration Specialist defining mappings and validating migrations for ClearRisk’s cloud-based claims and risk management solutions. Ensuring customer data is accurate, clean, and business-ready.
Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements gathering and define source-to-target data mapping specifications for customer integration and migration projects
- Partner with the Business Analyst and other Implementation team members
- Own quality verification of data mappings and transformations before and after loading
- Ensure data lands correctly, cleanly, and reflects the customer's actual business need
- Execute standard migrations and integrations using ClearRisk's internal ETL tooling
- Partner with developers on complex, custom-coded integration builds
- Validate that implemented mappings match intended specifications and output data is correct
- Document mapping decisions and transformation logic clearly
- Flag data quality issues, mapping ambiguities, and edge cases for resolution
Requirements
- Strong Excel/spreadsheet fluency
- Comfort with ETL-style tooling
- Demonstrated obsession with data accuracy/quality
- Ability to understand and question business context
- Comfortable working closely with developers without being one
- Ability to read a data model, ask good questions, and evaluate output without writing code
- Data-focused coding experience (Python, SQL, etc.) would be an advantage
- Experience with AI-assisted tooling would be beneficial
- Experience handling sensitive data in regulated environments would be a bonus
- Familiarity with insurance and risk management would be a plus
- Driven individual motivated to build their career
