About the role
- Water Treatment Operator at Coeur Silvertip mine in British Columbia performing operational duties for the water treatment plant. Ensuring safety and compliance while managing treatment processes in a remote camp environment.
Responsibilities
- Operation of Water Treatment Plant
- Handle and mix reagents according to Safe Operating Procedures and BC Mines Act
- Must be willing to work night shift
- Must be able to work unsupervised
- Capable of running samples through the lab in the WTP
- Monitor the mill tailings circuit discharge
- Perform pre-operational checks, and operate equipment according to Safe Operating Procedures
- Monitor equipment and processes and ensure equipment deficiencies and operational issues are reported clearly and quickly
- Conduct troubleshooting activities when problems arise
- Complete Operator Report Sheets, computerized data entry, and Daily Logbook
Requirements
- 3 years’ operating experience in a water treatment plant
- Valid driver's license
- Physically fit to perform the duties of the position
- Ability to work with a diverse cross-cultural workforce
