About the role
- Senior cybersecurity analyst detecting and responding to incidents for CrowdStrike, a global cybersecurity company. Investigating advanced threats, analyzing malware, and developing customer remediation plans.
Responsibilities
- Detect and respond to customer security incidents in real time through CrowdStrike’s virtual security operations center
- Exercise incident handling processes across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms
- Perform basic malware analysis
- Develop and improve incident detection processes and execute countermeasures
- Produce written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings for customer management
- Demonstrate industry thought leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and public speaking events
- Protect organizations against advanced attackers and contribute to global cybersecurity
- Complete technical tasks without supervision and contribute to a positive work environment
Requirements
- Experience in one or more of incident handling, computer forensic analysis, systems administration, network forensic analysis, malware analysis, incident remediation, network operations and architecture/engineering, or programming/scripting
- Experience conducting or managing incident response and investigating targeted threats
- Experience using forensic analysis tools in incident response investigations
- Understanding of system internals and countermeasures/remediation
- Knowledge of network protocols, network analysis tools, and network log analysis
- Ability to perform static and dynamic malware analysis
- Strong understanding of targeted attacks and ability to create tactical and strategic remediation plans
- Strong understanding of secure network architecture and background in network operations
- Programming/scripting experience with C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, and .NET
- Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes
- Ability to complete technical tasks without supervision
- Desire to grow technical and soft skills
- Strong project management skills
- Contributing thought leader within the incident response industry
- Ability to foster a positive work environment and attitude
- Willingness to work a 4x10 schedule, including a weekend day
- BA or BS / MA or MS degree in a specified technical or related field, or relevant work experience and/or training in lieu of a degree
