About the role

  • Senior cybersecurity analyst detecting and responding to incidents for CrowdStrike, a global cybersecurity company. Investigating advanced threats, analyzing malware, and developing customer remediation plans.

Responsibilities

  • Detect and respond to customer security incidents in real time through CrowdStrike’s virtual security operations center
  • Exercise incident handling processes across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms
  • Perform basic malware analysis
  • Develop and improve incident detection processes and execute countermeasures
  • Produce written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings for customer management
  • Demonstrate industry thought leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and public speaking events
  • Protect organizations against advanced attackers and contribute to global cybersecurity
  • Complete technical tasks without supervision and contribute to a positive work environment

Requirements

  • Experience in one or more of incident handling, computer forensic analysis, systems administration, network forensic analysis, malware analysis, incident remediation, network operations and architecture/engineering, or programming/scripting
  • Experience conducting or managing incident response and investigating targeted threats
  • Experience using forensic analysis tools in incident response investigations
  • Understanding of system internals and countermeasures/remediation
  • Knowledge of network protocols, network analysis tools, and network log analysis
  • Ability to perform static and dynamic malware analysis
  • Strong understanding of targeted attacks and ability to create tactical and strategic remediation plans
  • Strong understanding of secure network architecture and background in network operations
  • Programming/scripting experience with C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, and .NET
  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes
  • Ability to complete technical tasks without supervision
  • Desire to grow technical and soft skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Contributing thought leader within the incident response industry
  • Ability to foster a positive work environment and attitude
  • Willingness to work a 4x10 schedule, including a weekend day
  • BA or BS / MA or MS degree in a specified technical or related field, or relevant work experience and/or training in lieu of a degree
