About the role
- Field Service Representative installing, repairing, and maintaining Beckman Coulter diagnostic instruments for hospital laboratories. Serving customers remotely from Quebec while supporting instrumentation sites across Canada.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients while installing and maintaining diagnostic instruments in hospital laboratory environments
- Serve assigned customers under minimal supervision
- Troubleshoot, install, validate, maintain, and repair designated instrumentation
- Complete preventative maintenance, field modifications, instrument repairs, and work order/service documentation accurately and on time
- Occasionally travel across Canada to support sites using the company’s instrumentation
- Report to the Quebec District Service Manager as part of the Service department serving the Chicoutimi/Jonquière area
Requirements
- Technical degree in biomedical, laboratory, electronics, or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of experience troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining laboratory equipment at customer sites OR 1 year of mechanical or electrical experience
- Bilingualism in French and English, spoken and written
- Ability to travel to the United States for training
- Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise, and/or place up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk for prolonged periods, and sit; squat and kneel; ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms
- Field service experience is a plus
- Technical service experience with hematology and chemistry instruments is a plus
