About the role

  • Personal finance advisor helping Desjardins members and clients achieve financial goals. Providing financing, credit, loan and insurance recommendations in Montréal.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain lasting and trusting business relationships with members and clients
  • Listen to members’ and clients’ needs and provide advice suited to their financial situations
  • Help members and clients choose appropriate solutions to meet their financial goals
  • Provide financing solutions for affluent individuals and businesses
  • Recommend loans and insurance products
  • Serve as a financing expert advisor and resource person
  • Ensure cross-sector strategies are applied to financing
  • Authorize credit in accordance with established rules
  • Balance member/client satisfaction, business objectives, profitability and sound and prudent risk management
  • Work with partners and experts to design integrated strategies
  • Advise members and clients on the best strategies and identify expected results
  • Manage business relationships and assess member/client satisfaction and service quality
  • Follow up and identify areas for improvement
  • Stay up-to-date on the financial services industry, market trends and best practices
  • Participate in outreach activities and represent the caisse in the community

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
