About the role

Desjardins finance and accounting advisor managing financial accounts, reports, budgets, audits, and risk analysis. Advising partners and improving accounting policies and processes in Lévis.

Responsibilities

Manage financial accounts in accordance with organizational objectives
Produce reports and perform audits, inspections and financial simulations
Analyze risks, profits and losses
Plan and review budget processes
Manage and control accounting systems by gathering, processing and recording financial data
Assist with product and service pricing, financial engineering, financial market transactions and tax law analysis, including payroll
Advise and assist clients and partners and recommend solutions to improve or optimize standards, policies and programs
Prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on organizational objectives and priorities
Diagnose issues, challenges and needs to determine target outcomes
Develop objectives, solutions and action plans; help implement them and plan close monitoring
Analyze data, conduct studies, make recommendations and write reports
Review and update practices, policies and procedures

Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of four years of relevant experience
Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Knowledge of French is required
Intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
Extensive knowledge of the finance and general accounting line of work
Analytical skills
Interpersonal savvy and ability to coordinate with stakeholders in other fields
