About the role

  • Desjardins finance and accounting advisor managing financial accounts, reports, budgets, audits, and risk analysis. Advising partners and improving accounting policies and processes in Lévis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage financial accounts in accordance with organizational objectives
  • Produce reports and perform audits, inspections and financial simulations
  • Analyze risks, profits and losses
  • Plan and review budget processes
  • Manage and control accounting systems by gathering, processing and recording financial data
  • Assist with product and service pricing, financial engineering, financial market transactions and tax law analysis, including payroll
  • Advise and assist clients and partners and recommend solutions to improve or optimize standards, policies and programs
  • Prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on organizational objectives and priorities
  • Diagnose issues, challenges and needs to determine target outcomes
  • Develop objectives, solutions and action plans; help implement them and plan close monitoring
  • Analyze data, conduct studies, make recommendations and write reports
  • Review and update practices, policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • Extensive knowledge of the finance and general accounting line of work
  • Analytical skills
  • Interpersonal savvy and ability to coordinate with stakeholders in other fields
