About the role
- Azure data platform administrator operating Desjardins’ cloud data platform. Supporting DevOps teams through infrastructure automation, security, deployments and production operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop complex execution strategies, and analyze, design and document business products and solutions
- Analyze and develop software products, including design, coding, automation and testing, while applying development, data and security best practices
- Write procedures, guidelines and development methods
- Help develop documentation and prepare and deliver training for peers and consumers
- Cocreate with partners to understand business intentions and objectives and standardize solutions accordingly
- Identify system optimization opportunities and assess underlying impacts of changes
- Analyze, diagnose, follow up on and resolve highly complex operational and conceptual problems during major incidents
- Lead software package installations and testing and application rollout
- Roll out and operate Desjardins Group's Azure-based data platform
- Support development teams with environment implementation, code deployment and shared production infrastructure in an agile multidisciplinary squad
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience with Azure environments (Compute, networking, analytics, security, monitoring, DNS, Kubernetes)
- Experience in IaC (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD and pipeline management)
- Experience managing Azure data platforms
- Analytics experience
- Experience in roles that require managing complex or urgent situations
- Experience in fast-paced or high-pressure environments
- Experience managing multiple priorities with tight deadlines
- Microsoft Azure certifications
- Knowledge of French is required
- Proficiency with scripting in PowerShell, Python or a similar language
- Solid command of infrastructure: Proxy, firewall, Active directory, DNS, Telecommunications (network interconnection)
- Knowledge of security rule configuration and implementation (RBAC, ABAC, Policy)
- Knowledge of agile environments: Jira, Confluence
