About the role

  • Communications Advisor supporting Desjardins caisse communications, events, media, and community relations. Developing plans, advising managers, managing campaigns, events, sponsorships, and social media.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the caisse's annual communication activities plan based on the allocated budget
  • Provide recommendations to managers regarding communication strategies and activities targeting various clienteles, community organizations, officers and employees
  • Assist managers in carrying out communication activities
  • Advise managers in developing, improving and implementing communications solutions, programs and tools
  • Assist in developing, monitoring and implementing internal and external communications action plans aligned with Desjardins Group's targeted results and strategic orientations
  • Maintain the caisse's and Desjardins Group's positive image by identifying potential risks and informing general management and involved partners
  • Monitor service-quality activities for members and customers, including surveys and complaint processing
  • Receive, assess and recommend sponsorship, donation and subscription requests and follow up on funding levels
  • Assist the manager in negotiating sponsorship, donation and subscription agreements
  • Assist in producing the caisse's social responsibility report
  • Oversee the organization and logistics of caisse events, including writing speeches for annual general meetings and special meetings
  • Produce the annual report
  • Analyze, select and ensure the quality of communication vehicles for members and customers, including letters and mass mailings
  • Produce and disseminate information for local newspapers and internal communications
  • Support caisse representatives in maintaining business relationships with clienteles and community organizations
  • Assist with organizing customer and community-organization events, including information sessions, conferences and school caisse activities
  • Moderate social media communities, draft informational content and ensure relevance and coherence of comments and interactions
  • Identify needs and follow up on advertising-placement mandates with involved partners
  • Follow up on Desjardins Group merchandising proposals, including ordering promotional materials and posters for caisse sites

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
