Finance and accounting technician at Desjardins, a financial services cooperative, managing accounts, reports, budgets, and accounting systems. Providing technical support, process analysis, and user training.

Responsibilities

Help manage financial accounts in accordance with organizational objectives
Produce reports and perform audits, inspections and financial simulations
Analyze risks, profits and losses
Help plan and review budget processes
Manage and control accounting systems by gathering, processing and recording financial data
Assist with product and service pricing, financial engineering, financial market transactions and tax law analysis, including payroll
Provide technical support for projects and complex operational issues
Carry out specialized technical studies, research and analysis
Serve as a resource person for solutions and action plans
Roll out and maintain software and manual and automated processes
Train users
Prepare technical notes to enhance users' and teams' skills and knowledge
Help professionals develop their skills and identify training needs
Help practitioners follow unit standards and processes and use business solutions, tools and systems

General college diploma in a related field
A minimum of three years of relevant experience
Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Knowledge of French is required
Intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
