About the role
- Financial disclosure advisor preparing and analyzing Desjardins financial, statutory, and regulatory statements. Improving accounting controls, compliance, and reporting practices.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, disclose and monitor financial statements for Desjardins’s financial, statutory, regulatory and strategic reporting
- Advise and assist clients and partners as part of intervention and development initiatives
- Propose solutions to improve or optimize standards, procedures, controls and tools
- Prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on organizational objectives and priorities
- Diagnose issues, challenges and needs to determine target outcomes
- Perform, validate and analyze accounting and financial transactions while ensuring data is complete and compliant with accounting policies and standards
- Develop and help implement objectives, solutions and action plans
- Carry out specialized analysis and make recommendations to develop organizational best practices
- Ensure compliance with regulations, financial governance rules, and tax and accounting standards
- Coordinate frequently with stakeholders working in other fields
- Help solve complex problems using analytical skills and extensive knowledge of the line of business
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience
