About the role

  • Personal Finance Advisor helping Desjardins caisse members achieve financial goals through investments, loans, and insurance products. Building trusted relationships and delivering integrated financial strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain lasting and trusting business relationships with members and clients
  • Listen to members’ and clients’ needs, provide advice suited to their financial situation, and help them choose solutions to meet financial goals
  • Recommend investments, loans, and insurance products
  • Serve as a financing expert advisor and resource person for the caisse
  • Balance member/client satisfaction, business objectives, profitability, and prudent risk management
  • Work with partners and experts to design integrated strategies
  • Advise members and clients on strategies and identify expected results
  • Manage business relationships and assess satisfaction and service quality
  • Follow up and identify areas for improvement
  • Stay current on financial services industry developments, market trends, and best practices
  • Participate in outreach activities and represent the caisse in the community

Requirements

  • College diploma in a related field
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Knowledge of current financial, economic, political, and legislative events
  • Knowledge of products and services for caisse members, Desjardins Business Centres, Desjardins components and distribution networks, and competitors
  • Knowledge of integrating financial data into computer systems
  • Knowledge of debt management
  • Knowledge of legislation respecting the distribution of financial products and services
  • Understanding of financial services cooperatives
  • Knowledge of policies, legislation, and standards related to caisse products and services
  • Knowledge of investment and financing operating procedures
  • Knowledge of Desjardins business processes
  • Knowledge of service standards
  • Knowledge of techniques used to assess and monitor individual financing applications
  • Available to work five days per week, including one evening per week
  • Drive results
