About the role

  • Regional sales director selling Desjardins Investments products to Montréal financial advisors. Driving territory growth, advisor relationships, prospecting, and investment-product sales.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively sell and support Desjardins Investments products and services to the investment advisor community in the assigned territory
  • Generate new sales while maintaining assets under management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with independent financial advisors
  • Design and implement the territory's executive plan with the Regional Sales Consultant
  • Conduct proactive one-on-one sales meetings using a consultative sales approach
  • Implement a territorial business plan focused on existing-client relationships and prospecting
  • Meet and exceed minimum activity and sales targets
  • Manage and prioritize prospects and territory coverage
  • Maintain knowledge of Desjardins investment solutions, competition and financial markets
  • Use CRM, Excel, financial calculators, hypothetical illustration tools and WebEx presentations
  • Conduct presentations at branch meetings, advisor and investor seminars, and participate in dealer conferences
  • Represent Desjardins Investments at industry events
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Advisor

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience, including five years in sales
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Successful completion of the Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) course
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Advanced proficiency of English
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Available for frequent travel within the Greater Montreal area
