About the role
- Senior business strategy advisor shaping transformation initiatives for Desjardins, North America's largest cooperative financial group. Advising leaders, developing strategic policies, and guiding complex cross-sector projects.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients and partners to help them position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic projects and initiatives
- Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs supporting strategic projects and initiatives
- Identify, analyze and diagnose major issues and make recommendations to decision-making bodies
- Represent the unit before decision-making bodies
- Represent Desjardins’s position when making agreements with external partners and organizations
- Develop plans and business intelligence; monitor business plans and performance; set targets; identify opportunities to improve service delivery
- Design and deliver business strategies and solutions aligned with the business architecture of organizational transformation and shift initiatives
- Lead and influence development projects and complex, highly innovative strategic initiatives involving multiple sectors
- Develop and recommend strategic directions and business positions
- Advise on planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects and initiatives requiring comprehensive analysis and organizational understanding
- Interact and coordinate frequently with stakeholders across a wide range of fields
- Serve as expert advisor, subject matter expert, resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
- Interpersonal savvy
- Strategic mindset
