- Senior credit risk advisor leading credit authorization, policy, and strategic risk initiatives for Desjardins, a Canadian financial cooperative. Advising executives and coordinating complex cross-sector projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with credit authorization, research, analysis and development
- Recommend implementation strategies and priorities for credit risk management best practices
- Lead and influence development projects and complex, highly innovative strategic initiatives involving multiple sectors
- Help develop and recommend strategic directions and business positions
- Advise clients and partners to position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic projects and initiatives
- Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs to support strategic projects and initiatives
- Identify, analyze, diagnose and address major issues and make recommendations to decision-making bodies
- Represent the unit before senior management committees and decision-making bodies
- Represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with external partners and organizations
- Serve as expert advisor, subject matter expert, resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
- Ability to advise clients and partners on strategic projects and initiatives
- Ability to develop and update policies, standards, models and programs
- Ability to identify, analyze, diagnose and address major issues
- Ability to make recommendations to decision-making bodies
