About the role
- Senior financial disclosure advisor supporting Desjardins’s financial, statutory and regulatory reporting. Leading complex initiatives, analysis and accounting quality controls for Desjardins.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, disclose and monitor financial statements for financial, statutory, regulatory and strategic reporting
- Lead complex and innovative development projects and strategic initiatives
- Advise clients and partners on strategic projects and initiatives involving financial, regulatory, tax and accounting reporting
- Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs
- Identify, analyze and diagnose major issues and make recommendations to decision-making bodies
- Carry out specialized and complex analysis for projects and initiatives impacting the organization
- Prepare reports and other specialized documents
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure the integrity and accuracy of accounting data and financial statements
- Represent Desjardins’s position in agreements with external partners and organizations
- Serve as specialist advisor, subject matter expert, resource person and coach for decision-making bodies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
