About the role

  • Desjardins wealth advisor developing financial plans, investment strategies and insurance solutions. Building relationships with Montréal members, businesses and business owners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain lasting, trusting business relationships with members and clients
  • Assess needs and provide advice suited to clients’ financial situations and goals
  • Work with mass-affluent individuals, businesses and business owners across all life stages
  • Prepare comprehensive financial plans, targeted investment and financing strategies, and insurance offers
  • Advise on savings and investments, financial planning, portfolio diversification, intergenerational transfers and tax strategies
  • Support the financial empowerment of members and clients while balancing satisfaction, business objectives, profitability and prudent risk management
  • Promote digital solutions and help members and clients adopt them
  • Carry out financial transactions and present self-serve solutions as needed
  • Collaborate with partners and specialists to design integrated strategies
  • Identify business opportunities and refer members and clients to colleagues or other entities for specialized or day-to-day needs
  • Manage business relationships, assess satisfaction and service quality, follow up and identify improvements
  • Monitor financial-services news, market trends and best practices to identify business-development opportunities
  • Participate in outreach activities and remain present in the community
  • Conduct onsite visits of businesses served

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers
  • Hold the title of Financial Planner
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Advanced proficiency of English required due to interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • Available to work one evening per week and on a rotating Saturday schedule
